Do you have any tips on training my cat to not be such a total bitch hole?
hmm…again, i’m not a cat expert or anything. however, i do have experience dealing with mean cats. the cats that i have dealt with in the past are usually that way because when they were younger they were either abused, tormented or just treated badly in general. obviously i don’t know the relationship between you and your cat, but it could just have trouble trusting people in general. maybe give it a reason to trust you, and be very very patient, because it could take a bit of time. hope this helped! if you have any more questions or concerns feel free to message me again.
Re the question about cats wanting to snorgle after you get out of the shower: my cat does exactly the same thing. I looked it up online, and general consensus is that after you shower, you don't smell like you anymore. So your cat is trying to "mark" you with her scent, so you smell like yourself, and her possession again (they have oil/scent glands around their cheeks, which explains the head butting).
I thought my cat was just crazy, but it seems to be pretty common cat behavior :-)
oh that’s brilliant! thank you so much!!
just in case anyone else has a cat that goes crazy after you get out of the shower here is the answer!!
i am not a veterinarian or cat expert, so if you want the best answer i would advise you to go to a veterinarian where they can also determine how to keep your cat as healthy as possible based on its age. but here is my very general answer for you:
younger cats tend to have whiter teeth while older cats can start to produce tartar. this also depends on your cat’s general dental hygiene, though…in which case you can look at their fur. older cats don’t have as soft of hair as younger cats. older cats’ eyes can also start looking cloudier as well as start to discharge or tear.
i hope this helped! and again, i am not a veterinarian, so please go to one if you want the most accurate answer!
I was wondering if you could help explain this habit to me. My cat is four years old, and EVERY time I get out of the shower she's...all over me. Meows, rubs up against me, wants me to pet her. Constantly! Its cute, but I was wondering if there is a reason why?
cute! unfortunately i can’t give you a definite answer. but, i know one of my cats was extremely affectionate to my mom when she wore a certain perfume (like rubbing up against her and rolling around). but she just really liked the smell. so it could be your shampoo or bodywash. either way i wouldn’t be worried about it, it could be one of your cat’s quirky traits. i think it’s adorable :)
